Using WhatsApp Groups
One of the easiest ways to communicate with your teams is to use WhatsApp or a similar messaging app. From adding seen issues, to highlighting potential improvements, WhatsApp can be a godsend for companies following 2-Second Lean.
Get all of your team to photograph or video their daily improvements and share them into a specially-made WhatsApp group. This means that your team will see all the other improvements and get some inspiration themselves. It can also lead to more collaborative improvements as teams can work together and communicate much better.
Setting up department-specific groups is also beneficial. Rather than use up time in the morning meeting, you can use the group for more specific improvements.
Example
In the toy factory, the paint spraying gun is getting jammed and needs some additional maintenance.
That could start as a message into the paint department group. Not every department initially needs to be aware.
From there, the leaders could review it and identify problems and come up with solutions.
They may then need to get other departments involved for a more collaborative improvement. For instance, the leader of the production team visits marketing to get some signs made describing, with photos, the daily cleaning routine.
